“Nothing that happens to anyone has value unless it is preparation for what lies ahead.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
The work of the world’s most admired woman isn’t finished. It is up to us — you and I — to keep her vision in action.
In our minds, our youth stand for dreams, innovation and new opportunities. When given the space and opportunity to do so, young people turn their energy and creativity towards solving challenges. If we are to create the world of the future, tomorrow is now.
It is through our learning, leadership and other life-changing programs and experiences that we provide a model for future generations to confront issues in education; in our relations with people of other races and nations; in developing individual initiative; in expanding our economy; in strengthening and uniting our nations. These were Eleanor Roosevelt’s goals — and with bold affirmation from our youth, with imagination, with courage, with faith in ourselves and our cause — fundamental dignity for all mankind — they will be met.
