The Eleanor Roosevelt Center’s ECCEL Program prepares students to lead in all aspects of their lives — personal, academic, professional and community.  With a focus on self-discovery, skill development, experiential learning and global citizenship, the program will contribute significantly to students’ academic achievement and workforce success and prepare them to lead in a global society.

To benefit from this experience, participants must be mature, self-motivated and self-directed. We would appreciate your thoughtful reflection on these and other qualities that will help us evaluate this applicant for our program. Please mention in your letter any aspects of the applicant’s personality, character, or situation that you consider pertinent to our program.

If you have any further questions about ECCEL, please contact us at (845) 229-5302, email us at, and download the brochure for more information.
