During Girls’ Leadership Worldwide, the changing role and status of women will be investigated in a variety of ways including: presentations, interactive workshops, group discussions, written materials, and films. At times, sensitive or controversial topics relevant to women’s leadership development may arise. GLW creates environments for open discussion and presents information about controversial topics without pressuring participants to agree with any particular position or point of view.
Please also recognize that the nine days of GLW are compact and busy. The girls are scheduled for events and activities every day and evening. We understand that some of you may have religious or other obligations on certain days. Please identify these needs in advance in order for us to make the necessary arrangements.
I give my permission for my daughter to participate fully in all GLW-ERVK planned activities.
I authorize the ERVK/GLW staff and its representatives to transport my daughter to and from planned lodging, any planned activities or field trips, and to transport my child in the event of an emergency. I RELEASE, HOLD HARMLESS & INDEMNIFY THE STAFF OF GLW, ITS VOLUNTEERS and ERVK and ITS REPRESENTATIVES FROM ANY LIABILITY FOR TRANSPORTING MY CHILD IN CONNECTION WITH ANY OF THE ABOVE.
Further, in reference to the above, I waive my spouse/partner’s or my child’s father/mother/guardian and my right to seek legal action against the persons in charge of my daughter for the Girls’ Leadership Worldwide, the Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-Kill, and those associated with the aforementioned parties.
I give my permission for ERVK and/or program affiliates to use my name, my school’s name, my photograph, any taped images of me, my written comments, and any artistic products I may develop during Girls’ Leadership Worldwide.
